GROUND VEHICLE TRACKING TRANSPONDER GNOME

The GNOME beacon is a small transponder deployed on a vehicle roof to track its movement on the airfield.

The ground-based ADS-B stations track the vehicles, process and transmit data to the airport ground movement control.

Modern airfield surveillance assets (ground-based ADS-B stations — multilateration sensors) collect data from GNOME and aircraft transponders to reduce the risk of accidentson the airfield.
